Do you know how you should do a Daredevil reboot? Like Season 3 of the Netflix Daredevil show. The Defenders stank that seeped into the last half of Season 2 could have taken down the show, but the creative team pulled off a miracle! The soft reboot in Season 3 was perfect and was just what the show needed!

Marvel just can't get it right nowadays. Daredevil: Born Again had to be good. Not a CGI shit show! Where is Bullseye's bullseye? It's three white circles! It cannot be that hard to add to a balaclava! And where are Matt's double Ds? We want to see some damn double Ds in a Disney+ show that aren't CGI and green!

The only three MCU shows that I have rewatched have been Loki, Moon Knight, and Werewolf By Night. I have seen most Phase 1, 2, and 3 movies multiple times over, and I even liked Multiverse of Madness, Love and Thunder, and Guardians 3. (X-Men '97 and Deadpool vs. Wolverine were terrific also, but that's neither here nor there.) I have rewatched the Netflix Daredevil and Season 1 of Jessica Jones multiple times over. The main "thing" that Daredevil: Born Again is missing is the suspense! Killgrave in Jessic Jones was so good, the whole season seeing him pop up amd manipulate and chase Jessic Jones was so thrilling! The Fisk reveal and the haunting exploits of Fisk showing up when the characters didn't want him to was so good! Why wasn't Fisk running for mayor for a whole season or at least half a season long this time? Why wasn't Bullseye targeting Foggy and stalking him for at least a minimum of two episodes? It could have built so much suspense and been so thrilling to have to wait for the next episode to see what happens to Foggy! To see even what Bullseye's plan for Foggy was!

Marvel had one shot, one last-ditch effort to save their TV shows and the MCU to some extent, and they were more blind than Matt Murdock. Did anyone even watch the first two episodes up at Marvel HQ? Just a side-by-side comparison with the first two episodes of the Netflix series shows how shit the new one is. Marvel promised a rework to us, and then I got worried when a week ago I read that the rework wasn't as drastic as they had initially led us to believe, and boy was I right to have worried.

This quote by Dario Scardapane just shows how off the producers were about the original show, "There is more fun in the moments with these characters and a lot less navel-gazing than before," he said of how Daredevil: Born Again compares to its predecessor. "The earlier show, at its best, was fantastic. At its worst, it was two characters in a room talking about what a hero is. I felt that had been done." Bro half of the character and charm of the original show was the back and forth between Matt and his priest and the arguing between Matt and Foggy! If you take that away you are taking away the reason people liked the original show!

The one-take fight scene was great besides the CGI, and I can't wait to watch a YouTube video with all the CGI taken out; it will probably be perfect then, but that's my whole point. Marvel doesn't understand what made the Netflix shows so popular. The nitty-gritty, real street-level fighting with no CGI! Sure, you can tell that the stunt performers aren't actually hitting each other, but the stunts and fights were still awesome and real. I was hopeful that Daredevil: Born Again could fix that with a better budget and have less flaws in the choreography, but nope. Just CGI shit ruining good one-take fights! Ben Affleck swung around as Daredevil less awkwardly and less jarring 20 years ago.

Charlie Cox stated this about show’s darker tone, “I expected it to be dumbed down quite a lot, and that has not been the case at all. there are a couple of scenes that I find difficult to watch, and I don't remember feeling that way previously." Where in the hell's kitchen are the darker scenes? Did Charlie get confused and mean that the stair way fight scene in the one take was so dark that it will be difficult for you to see half of it?

I would say that Marvel is just playing cheap dress-up with Daredevil: Born Again, trying to imitate the Netflix show, but no, cheap dress-up costumes are still more comic book accurate with DDs on Daredevil's chest and a bullseye on Bullseye's head!

Just an all-around disappointing show for this Marvel fan. At least I have The Boys Season 4 to look forward to.
