The Winchesters

Just watched "The Winchesters" a SUPERNATURAL spin off directed by Jensen Ackles who played Dean in the original series. It follows his parents, John and Mary origin story. I was worried it would be a little goofy, but it was not. It wasn't hardcore or scary either, but there were real monsters in it.

Supernatural can feel cheap at times cause the only monsters are vampires, demons, and angels, cause all we have to do is add fake teeth or CGI their eyes to change. There is a full on werewolf type monster and a freaking like 100lb spider! Lets not forget... MUSCLE CARS! It takes place in 1972 and I'm drooling and the passing chrome in the back ground. Mary drives a baby blue 69 Roadrunner (or at least that is what I believe to be seeing.)

This 1st pilot episode was better than about half of the 15 seasons of the original Supernatural. I'm excited to see the next 6 episodes. It is also rated the highest tune ins for a premier on the CW, so likely more seasons to come as well.
